<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method, capable of surely acquiring exposure required for the main photographing of a still image while stably displaying a moving image before the main photographing of the still image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a first imaging element for converting light from an object received through a first optical system to electric signals; a second imaging element different from the first imaging element, for converting the light from the object received through a second optical system different from the first optical system to electric signals; a first image signal processing part for generating image signals for moving images on the basis of the electric signals converted in the first imaging element before the main photographing of the still image; an exposure control part for controlling the exposure so as to execute step exposure in the second imaging element before the main photographing of the still image; and an exposure calculation part for calculating the exposure for the time of the main photographing of the still image on the basis of the electric signals converted in the second imaging element, which are obtained by the step exposure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
