PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical press apparatus in which height is low, a position of a slider is adjustable, and a stress load in a horizontal direction is reduced, and to facilitate a process by forming a supporting rod in a fan-like form. SOLUTION: The press apparatus includes: a supporting rod 4 connected to an eccentric rotary shaft 5 in which one end being a supporting point is formed in a circular recessed portion 41 and the other end is formed in a circular projecting portion 42 concentric with a center of the circular recessed portion 41; a converting part 3 for slidably supporting the both ends of the supporting rod 4, respectively; and a slider 2 connected to the converting part 3 and held slidably up and down within a frame 1.
