FORMYL GROUP-CONTAINING POROUS SUPPORT, ADSORBENT USING SAME, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE ADSORBENT

Disclosed is a method for producing a formyl group-containing porous support, wherein a spacer is introduced into porous particles having a formyl group, and then the spacer portion is oxidized with periodic acid and/or a periodate, thereby being converted into a formyl group.  The method for producing a formyl group-containing porous support is characterized in that the formyl group content in the porous particles after introduction of the spacer is not more than 3 µmol per 1 mL of the porous particles.  Also disclosed is a method for producing an adsorbent, wherein an amino group-containing ligand is immobilized on the formyl group-containing porous support.  The formyl group-containing porous support has a large adsorption and high strength, while being reduced in dissolution of the ligand.  The adsorbent uses the formyl group-containing porous support.
