<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue a warning to a user when a color material different in characteristics from a regular color material is used in an image forming apparatus in which a color image is formed on a recording material by using color materials of a plurality of colors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: First and second color correction table storage sections 52, 53 store, respectively, first and second color correction tables storing image data of a second color space which are visually recognized in approximately the same color when an image corresponding to image data of a first color space is formed by a predetermined image forming apparatus using a predetermined color material and a combination of signal values of color components is different for each color correction table as image data of the second color space corresponding to the image data of the same first color space. A color correction processing section 51 selects the color correction table to be used for color correction processing for each pixel on the basis of a mask pattern stored in a mask pattern storage section 54 and uses the selected color correction table to perform color correction processing of each pixel.
