PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability, while reducing workers' exposure doses, when conducting a radiolucence test for a tubular member in a plant. SOLUTION: After a support means and a guide pipe are mounted inside the tubular member, beforehand, the radiolucence test for a newly peripheral welded part is conducted by inserting a radiation source for the test into the guide pipe after the completion of the newly peripheral welding on the tubular member. This measure eliminates the need for workers who conduct the radiolucence test to remain inside the tubular member over a long time, which can not only reduce workers' exposure doses, but can also significantly improve workability in the radiolucence test.
