PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous or cloth-like deformation sensor having a light weight and flexibility, functioning stably in the air with high response sensitivity. SOLUTION: The fibrous deformation sensor 10 is a deformation sensor for generating a potential difference between at least a pair of mutually-insulated electrodes 11, 13, by being brought into contact with a nonaqueous polymer solid electrolyte 12 by deformation of the nonaqueous polymer solid electrolyte 12 including a polymer component selected from a polymer including a monomer unit having hetero atoms or a block copolymer including a block of the polymer, and ion liquid, and comprises a complex fiber wherein the nonaqueous polymer solid electrolyte 12 and the electrodes 11, 13 constitute a fiber cross section, and continue in the fiber length direction.
