<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid freezing and closure of gas passages in a fuel cell at the time of starting below zero. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell 5 which generates electric power by an electrochemical reaction of a hydrogen gas as a fuel gas and air as an oxidant gas. When the fuel cell system is started below zero in the condition of (the fuel cell temperature)<0°C<(an auxiliary equipment temperature), by estimating the moisture content at the time of starting below zero existing in the auxiliary equipment and the piping of the fuel cell which is necessary for operation of the fuel cell, the more the flow rate of the supply gas to be supplied to the fuel cell at the time of starting is restricted, the more the moisture content exists in the auxiliary equipment and the piping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
