<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that presents the relationship between a plurality of elements that a user desires to understand in a way that is easy for the user to understand. <P>SOLUTION: An element group information acquisition unit 20 acquires element group information including a plurality of elements and parent-child relationship information indicating the parent-child relationship between the elements. An element-of-concern specifying unit 22 specifies a plurality of elements of concern from the plurality of elements. An ancestral element information generating unit 24 generates ancestral element information indicating at least some of the elements of concern that correspond to ancestors. A common element specifying unit 26 specifies common elements commonly shown in the ancestral element information. A particular common element specifying unit 28 specifies particular common elements that satisfy predetermined requirements from the common elements.
