A display input device includes: a touch panel (1) which executes information display and input; a proximity sensor (12) which detects movement of a detection object positioned to oppose to the touch panel (1) in a non-contact mode; and a control unit (3) which moves a particular display object displayed on the touch panel (1) to the vicinity of the stop position of the detection object and displays the display object if the proximity sensor (12) detects approach of the detection object toward the touch panel (1) by a predetermined amount.
