METHOD FOR PREPARING FECAL SAMPLE, SOLUTION FOR PREPARING FECAL SAMPLE, AND FECES COLLECTION KIT

Disclosed is a method for preparing a fecal sample in which a nucleic acid contained in feces can be stored stably, without requiring any complicated procedure.  Also disclosed are solution for preparing a fecal sample and a feces collection kit both of which can be used in the method.  Further disclosed is a method for collecting a nucleic acid from feces using a fecal sample prepared by the above-mentioned method and analyzing the nucleic acid.  The method for preparing a fecal sample can be employed for the analysis of a nucleic acid contained in feces.  The method is characterized by comprising mixing collected feces with a solution for preparing a fecal sample, wherein the solution comprises a protease inhibitor as an active ingredient.
