<p>The invention relates to a lavatory lid alert device. The device comprises a casing housing a microchip or electronic card that emits a "raised-lid" alert sound when a switch, which is connected to the card and projects from the casing, has not been pressed. The casing includes a hinged lid provided with a spring, which tends to stay open. The hinged lid is pressed or released when the lavatory lid is lowered or raised respectively. In this way, the hinged lid presses or releases the switch, thereby disconnecting or connecting the device. Consequently, it is possible to eliminate the inconvenience caused to women upon finding the lid up after the lavatory has been used by man.</p> |
