PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device for a railroad vehicle capable of reducing the cost while maintaining required functions and substantially improving the functions by a device configured to relatively, laterally, and slidably support the rolling stock by abutting an upper supporting part on a lower supporting part when a pneumatic spring goes flat. SOLUTION: The suspension device A for the railroad vehicle includes the pneumatic spring (a) comprising the upper supporting part 1 on the rolling stock side, the lower supporting part 2 at the lower side, and a rubber diaphragm 3, and a shaft spring (b) comprising an elastic part 5 having a laminated rubber structure in which a plurality of elastic layers 5A-5C and a plurality of hard partitioning walls 5a, 5b are alternately layered interposed between the lower supporting part 2 and a receiving part 4 on a truck side. When the diaphragm 3 is in a deflated, airless state, a sliding plate 7 made of fluorine resin abutting on a sliding face 10 formed on a lower face side of the upper supporting part 1 is disposed at the lower supporting part 2, and the sliding face 10 is subjected to a zinc phosphate treatment and then a fluorine or molybdenum disulfide coating to be formed into a coating film.
