#CMT# #/CMT# The covering (10) has a reinforced or non reinforced, heterogeneous wear-out layer (10.1), and a sub-layer (11) including a flexible coating base (11a) on which rigid or flexible sections (12) are arranged. The sections are associated to a low density foam (13) and are made of plastic material e.g. plasticized PVC. The foam surrounds the sections and is projected from the sections to expose an upper part of the sections. The sections have a height in the range of 0.6-1.2 mm. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a resilient floor covering. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Resilient floor covering for use in a corridor of a hospital. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The configuration of the covering ensures high resistance to indentation and high isophonic performance in an optimized manner and provides a compact covering. The sections provide mechanical behavior which permits to obtain efficient performances at indentation test and mechanical properties which ensures durability of performances.
