METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONFIGURING A MEDIA ACCESS CONTROL HEADER

PURPOSE: A method and a system for configuring a media access control header are provided to reduce the header overhead caused by an MAC layer in the transmission of the wireless signal. CONSTITUTION: An MS(Mobile Station)(305) transmits an enhanced standby interface dynamic service addition request message(AAI_DSA_REQ) to a base station(310), and the base station transmits the enhanced standby interface dynamic service addition response message(AAI_DSA_RSP) to the MS. The MS transmits the enhance standby interface dynamic service addition acknowledgement message(AAI_DSA_ACK) to the base station, and a first medium access control header type is used in a following MAC PDU(Protocol Data Unit) that carries access x payload.
