The invention relates to a novel nutraceutical composition containing thymol and/or p-cymene, or a plant extract containing thymol or p-cymene as active ingredient. The compositions are useful for improvement of cognitive functions and psycho-social status, such as learning, memory and alertness, psychotic stability and maintenance.
