PURPOSE: An electronic component discarding box, an electronic component mounting apparatus, and an electronic component mounting method are provided to prevent the suction and mounting defects of electronic components by cleaning the end of the nozzle through a cleaning device. CONSTITUTION: An electronic component discarding box(50) has an upper opening(51) and a cleaning device(52). Abnormal electronic components sucked at the end of a nozzle are removed inside the discarding box through the upper opening. When the nozzle enters inside through the upper opening, the cleaning device cleans the end of the nozzle.
