PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor photocatalytic substance which has photocatalytic activity bearing comparison with that of a semiconductor photocatalyst using a promoter, is inexpensive and can be utilized without worrying about the depletion. SOLUTION: A predetermined amount of aluminum oxide and another predetermined amount of copper oxide are added to titanium oxide little by little, they are mixed with one another and the obtained mixture is fired at the firing temperature selected from a range of 200-1,800°C.
