<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound control device for an electronic keyboard instrument which can accurately calculate key pressing speed and can stop musical sound at appropriate timing without being affected by a large rotary resistance of a key upon a let-off. <P>SOLUTION: A musical sound control device 20 detects a first piece of key pressing information S1 of a key 3 at a first position P1 before starting a let-off, a second piece of key pressing information S2 at a second position P2 which is greater than the first position P1, and a third piece of key pressing information S3 at a third position P3 which is greater than the second position P2 after completing the let-off. A volume of musical sound is set based on key pressing speed V of the key 3 calculated according to pieces of two key pressing information which are in a relationship having no let-off therebetween among the first and the second key pressing information and the second and the third key pressing information. Sound generation timing is set according to the third key pressing information and sound stop timing is set according to the first or the second key pressing information corresponding to the key pressing depth preceding the let-off start. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
