PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil recovery method of oil contaminated soil in the ground, in which oil on the groundwater surface present around a recovery well is rapidly made movable in a horizontal direction, to allow easy inflow of the oil into the recovery well, so that efficient recovery of oil is attained. SOLUTION: The recovery well 2 for recovering oil of an oil contaminated part 8 in the oil contaminated soil is formed, and a holed pipe 17 is provided extended from the ground surface to a layer between the oil contaminated part 8 in the oil contaminated soil and the ground surface. Water is pumped into the holed pipe 17 to discharge water from the holes 23 of the holed pipe 17 to apply hydraulic pressure to the oil of the oil contaminated part 8 from above by the water discharged toward the oil contaminated part 8, and liquid in the recovery well 2 is sucked up for recovery, to recover the oil present around the recovery well 2.
