Integrated circuits (290, 252, 254) and methods (500) for processing transport stream signals (2401, 2402, 2403, . . . , 240N) including broadcast program data packets (2261, 2262, 2263, . . . , 226N) containing broadcast program data and non-broadcast program data packets (318) containing non-broadcast program data. The methods involve (518) multiplexing a portion of the non-broadcast program data packets together to form a first signal (224). The methods also involve (522) processing the first signal to generate a second signal (228). This processing includes re-encrypting a portion of the non-broadcast program data to form re-encrypted non-broadcast program data. The methods further involve (524) demultiplexing the second signal to obtain at least one data packet (4221, 4222, 4223, . . . , 422N) therefrom including the re-encrypted non-broadcast program data. Thereafter, (528) the data packet and the broadcast program data packet(s) are multiplexed together to form multiplexed packet(s).
