PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve suppressing generation of deposits due to remaining fuel on the end surface of a needle on the side of a nozzle port and the periphery thereof. Ž
SOLUTION: A valve body 11 has a communication passage 13 communicating with the outside on the downstream side of a valve seat 12 on which a nozzle needle 30 is seated. A nozzle plate 20 is formed with a plurality of nozzle ports 21 for injecting fuel, biased to the side of the valve body 11 by a coned disc spring 19, and relatively moved in an axial direction with respect to the valve body 11. Thereby, when the nozzle needle 30 is seated on the valve seat 12, the nozzle plate 20 abuts on the valve body 11 by a biasing force of the coned disc spring 19, and the communicating passage 13 is shielded. Since the nozzle needle 30 is prevented from being exposed to combustion gas entering from the nozzle ports 21 as much as possible, it is possible to suppress generation of deposits.
