<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored glass composite which is obtained at a low manufacturing cost and exhibits excellent heat resistance, weatherability, dust resistance, antifogging property and mechanical strength for a long period of time, and to provide a method of manufacturing the colored glass composite. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The colored glass composite includes a tempered glass substrate and a colored glass film which is formed on the surface of the substrate. In the colored glass film, a coloring component comprising a transition metal compound is incorporated in a low melting point glass composed of a glass network-forming component, 15-30 mol% of an alkali metal oxide component containing, as an essential component, sodium oxide (Na<SB>2</SB>O) and 5-20 mol% in total of zinc oxide (ZnO) and calcium oxide (CaO) which is incorporated as occasion demands.
