PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint having stable rocking torque, and capable of preventing the occurrence of looseness between a ball head part and a housing over a long period. SOLUTION: A resin sheet 17 has a composite structure having integrally a resin part 70 and a metallic part 43. An inner peripheral surface 17A and an outer peripheral surface 17B of the resin sheet 17 are constituted of the resin part 70 formed in the metallic member 43 by resin insert molding. Respective elastic metallic plate pieces 62 project downward from the lower end of the outer peripheral surface 17B of the resin sheet 17. A cylinder 60 and the respective elastic metallic plate pieces 62 form an angleα2 in an unrestricted state of the metallic member 43. In a storage state (see, Fig.(b)) in the housing 16, an angle between the cylinder 60 and the respective elastic metallic plate pieces 62 becomesα1 (α1<α2), and the respective elastic metallic plate pieces 62 resiliently energize the whole resin sheet 17 toward an opening part 46.
