<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type display device capable of displaying all colors of W, R, G, B, C, M, Y and BL. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a cell including a medium held between substrates in which a refractive index is changed according to an electric field, an electrode which changes the refractive index by applying the electric field to the medium, and a metal nano-structure in which a plasmon resonance wave length is changed according to the change of the refractive index of the medium.
