PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling an injection molding machine, capable of manufacturing a multi-material molding without generating quality fluctuation in every molding cycle. SOLUTION: This method of controlling the injection molding machine 1 compression-molds molding materials injected into cavities 14, 15, by attaching a molding die device 10 including a plurality of cores 8 replaceable sequentially to each of the plurality of cavities 14, 15 corresponding to the different molding materials, and constituting opposed faces of the plurality of cavities, between a fixed panel 5 and a movable panel 6, and by approaching the movable panel 6 to the fixed panel 5, to reduce volumes of the cavities 14, 15. An original point in one side under an engaged state in one side before the core 8 is rotated by 180°, and an original point of the other side under an engaged state in the other side after rotated, are stored respectively in a storage part in the method, molding is carried out based on a numeric value from the original point in the one side, when molded under the engaged state in the one side, and the molding is carried out based on a numeric value from the original point in the other side, when molded under the engaged state in the other side.
