<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freeze preventing device for a mechanical parking system which can stably prevent snow cover and freezing on components of the mechanical parking system for a long period of time, so that work-failure and malfunction can be prevented stably over a long period of time, while preventing dew formation on the undersurface of a pallet for preventing staining of a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The freeze preventing device for a mechanical parking system includes a heating wire 22 closely stuck on the non-functional surfaces of the components (pallets, stepped surfaces, limit switches, fall prevention devices, and photocells) of the mechanical parking system, an elastic heat insulating material 24 for covering the whole surface of the heating wire, a support cover 26 made of metal for covering the whole surface of the elastic heat insulating material in a compressed state.
