<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine from turning when the engine is stopped in a driving device for a vehicle applied to a hybrid vehicle or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A one-way clutch 18 is disposed between the engine 12 and an MG 16 by connecting a rotor 36 on the MG 16 side for drive and regeneration to an input shaft 40 linked to a crank shaft 38 of the engine 12 through the one-way clutch 18. In EV traveling, the vehicle travels based on a command of an ECU 28 through the MG 16. Then the engine 12 is in a stopped state as the one-way clutch 18 idly turns. In regeneration, the ECU 28 is regenerated by the MG 16. Then, the engine 12 is in a stopped state similarly to the case of the EV traveling as the one-way clutch 18 idly turns.
