PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect inspection apparatus of molded sheets capable of detecting various types of defects, without fail. SOLUTION: The defect inspection apparatus is provided with imaging parts 5<SB>1</SB>-5<SB>n</SB>for imaging a molded sheet a plurality of times to acquire its two-dimensional images and generating a plurality of items of two-dimensional image datal a linear light source for illuminating the molded sheet, in such a way as to project a linear light source image to part of a region to be imaged in the molded sheet; a transfer device for transferring the molded sheet, in a direction of intersecting with the longitudinal direction of the linear light source and intersecting with the direction of the thickness of the molded sheet at right angles; image analysis parts 61<SB>1</SB>-61<SB>n</SB>for line defects for detecting defects by a line-defect detection algorithm, on the basis of the plurality of items of two-dimensional image data generated by the imaging parts 5<SB>1</SB>-5<SB>n</SB>; and image analysis parts 62<SB>1</SB>-62<SB>n</SB>for point defects for detecting defects by a spot-defect detection algorithm, on the basis of the plurality of items of two-dimensional image data generated by the imaging parts 5<SB>1</SB>-5<SB>n</SB>.
