PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine enabling a player to positively operate a performance operation means to fully exhibit attraction of performance by providing the performance operation means. SOLUTION: The game machine includes a performance operation button, and changes performance content during a symbol variable game by the operation of the button during a touch valid period T3. A CPU for general control determines beforehand game performance content of an upper limit stage selectable during selection performance by the operation of the performance operation button when a variable pattern that indicates the execution of a chance game is specified, carries out game performance after the end of the touch valid period T3 with the selected game performance content when the game performance content of the upper limit stage is selected at the end time of the touch valid period T3, and carries out game performance after the end of the touch valid period T3 with the game performance content in a stage prior to the upper limit stage, which is the game performance content selected at the end time of the touch valid period T3, when the game performance content of the upper limit stage is not selected.
