PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively easily incorporate earthquake resistant construction into an existing house. SOLUTION: By an earthquake resistant construction method, a wall is reinforced for improving the earthquake resistance of a house built already by a framework construction method. The method includes: a process for obtaining a rectangular frame 10 which comprises two adjacent columns 4, 5 installed upright, a lower horizontal beam 6 installed above a floor face 11, and an upper horizontal beam 7 installed above a ceiling 12 and whose inside forms an empty space C; and a process for fitting a rectangular reinforced wall 20 into a part inside the rectangular frame 10 and below the ceiling 12 in a state being put on the lower horizontal beam 6 and interposed between the two columns 4, 5, and also fixing the reinforced wall 20 to the rectangular frame 10.
