PURPOSE: A pulse forming method is provided to achieve improved performance for a set finite time section by forming a transmission pulse through the application of an optimized weight coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A transmission and reception system includes a transmission pulse shaping filter, an amplification unit, a channelization filter and a reception filter. In order to form a transmission pulse, the transmission and reception system sets a time section at first(S101). The transmission pulse filter forms the transmission pulse based on a set time section(S102). The transmission pulse forming filter forms the transmission pulse through the application of an optimized weight coefficient so that he transmission pulse forming filter may be optimized for the preset time section.
