PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of preventing a quantity of auxiliary light radiated to a subject when imaging from getting insufficient. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a projection portion 56 performing projection using light emitted from a first light source 28; a second light source 36 radiating the auxiliary light to the subject; an imaging portion 48 including an imaging device 46 imaging subject light; and a light emitting mode selecting portion 26 selecting a light emitting mode showing light emission or non-emission of the first light source and light emission or non-emission of the second light source according to a photographing condition when imaging by the imaging portion.
