PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove the material stuck to the inner-side surface of a vacuum-degassing tank. SOLUTION: The tool 1 for removing the stuck material is provided with a shaft part 10 to be extended in the vertical direction. On the outer-surface of the shaft part 10, four projecting parts 20 are arranged. The projecting parts 20 are arranged at same intervals along the outer surface of the shaft part 10 in the flat-view. On the upper face of the end part in the horizontal direction of the projecting part 20, a contacting part 21 which is freely taken out, is arranged. At the lower end of the shaft part 10, a weight part 30 is arranged. Then, after the stuck material S is heated with a burner, the tool 1 for removing the stuck material is inserted into the vacuum-degassing tank 40, and the stuck material S is removed while moving the tool 1 for removing the stuck material upward in a state where the contacting part 21 is brought into contact with the stuck material S.
