PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that wick burning in moxa treatment makes an increasing number of people today dislike its smoke, inevitably resulting from wick burning during the treatment, because of their health concern and fear that the smoke odor may stick to their clothes or household furniture, and has been a largest hindrance to the widespread use of moxa treatment. SOLUTION: The moxa holder has a construction wherein a vent hole is opened, penetrating the front and back sides of a pedestal with heat-insulating properties wick the bottom end of a columnar combustible bar, made of carbonized moxa powder and a binder kneaded up together, inserted from the upper surface of the pedestal into the vent hole up to its upper portion, and fixed there.
