The gear has a gear wheel (30) arranged on a shaft (10), and another gear wheel (40) coming in contact with the former gear wheel. Oil is used as a lubricant between the combined gear wheels. An oil discharge unit radially and inwardly discharges a portion of the oil from the gear wheels towards a central axis (11) of the shaft. A sealing unit (52) is provided at an axial side surface (34) of the former gear wheel. The discharge unit has a radially outward closed oil channel (60) at the axial side surface. The oil present in front of or at the sealing unit is discharged though the channel.
