PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an acrylic copolymer is provided to obtain excellent reactivity, latex stability, and polymerization conversion rate and to manufacture the acrylic copolymer having high molecular weight and superior dispersibility. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an acrylic copolymer includes an emulsion polymerization step polymerizing monomer mixture 100.0 parts by weight and dispersing agent 0.05-0.5 parts by weight. The monomer mixture comprises methyl methacrylate 60-95 weight% and a compound 5-40 weight% which is selected from a group of alkyl acrylate and alkyl methacrylate having 2-18 carbons of alkyl group.
