PURPOSE:To prolong an adsorption life at the time of adsorbing and removing ions from raw water with an ion-adsorptive microporous membrane to purify the water. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. contg. >=1 kind of ions is pressure-filtered by an ion-adsorptive microporous membrane having an anionic group, cationic group and chelating group on the surface of the membrane and pore. The membrane is backwashed with deionized water, preferably with filtered water or more perferably with the filtered water kept at least 5 deg.C higher than the filtration temp., and the raw water is again pressure-filtered. The adsorption life of the membrane is prolonged in this way. |
