The invention relates to electric propulsion engineering and can be used as an engine for all types of vehicles, in the power engineering and in private life as a stationary plant for generation of electric energy. The power unit of the jet aircraft engine contains a generator, a safety relay, a rectifier, a battery, a starter start-up panel, a starter-generator, an electric motor, a generator control knob. The power unit further comprises a step-down reducer mounted on a shaft with the electric motor, a step-down transformer, and a dynamo for the start-up. This power unit is used as an engine that runs on electric power generated by its own generator and the self-excitation starter-generator.
