PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange resin unit where an ion exchange resin is filled into a vessel, and a strainer is arranged at the lower part, the storage part of water is solved, and the filled resin can be effectively used for ion exchange. SOLUTION: The ion exchange resin unit includes: a vessel 1 with a tube axis direction as a vertical direction; an inflow port 2 provided at the top cover 1a of the vessel 1; a water collection pipe 4 passing through the central part of the top cover 1a and elongating to the upper and lower directions; a strainer 3 connected to the lower edge of the water collecting pipe 4 and provided at the bottom of the inside of the vessel 1; and a granular ion exchange resin 5 filled into the vessel 1. In the strainer 3, the upper face 3a has a taper shape so as to be a convex to the upper part, and the lower face 3b has a taper shape so as to be a convex to the lower part. The ratio D/H between the inside diameter D of the vessel and the layer height H of the ion exchange resin 5 is controlled to 0.15 to 0.6, preferably to 0.25 to 0.4. The ratio d/D between the maximum diameter d of the strainer 3 and the inside diameter D of the vessel is controlled to 0.4 to 0.8, preferably to 0.5 to 0.7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
