A photovoltaic cell module comprising a plurality of serially connected photovoltaic cells (20,30...6O) on a common substrate (90) each comprising a first electrode (150) a printed light-harvesting layer (Polymer ZnO) and a printed second electrode, (silver paste) wherein at least one of the electrodes is transparent, and wherein the second electrode of a first cell is printed such that it forms an electrical contact with the first electrode of an adjacent second cell without forming an electrical contact with the first electrode of the first cell or the light-harvesting layer of the second cell, and a method of making such photovoltaic cell modules.
