<p>Provided is a liquid crystal display device having a high numerical aperture in an pixel region while securing a necessary auxiliary capacity. The liquid crystal display device has a thin film transistor array substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and an opposing substrate arranged in this order. The thin film transistor array substrate includes: a source line and a gate line arranged in a lattice shape; an auxiliary capacity wire; a transparent pixel electrode arranged in the pixel region; and a thin film transistor having a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode. A gate insulation film is arranged between the layers of the gate electrode, the source electrode, and the drain electrode. An inter-layer insulation film is arranged between the layers of the source electrode, the drain electrode, and the transparent pixel electrode. On the gate insulation film are arranged a first transparent electrode positioned on the lower layer of the drain electrode and a second transparent electrode connected to the auxiliary capacity wire. The second transparent electrode is positioned to oppose to the transparent pixel electrode so that the second transparent electrode and the transparent pixel electrode sandwich the inter-layer insulation film.</p> |
