The invention relates to an attachment for a device for the optical detection of surfaces (10), wherein the attachment (1) comprises a translucent guide body (2) having a light entrance surface (6) and a light emergence surface (4), and a transparent cushion body (3) which rests against the light emergence surface (4) of the guide body (2) and comprises a light entrance surface (30) and a light emergence surface (31), wherein the light originating from a light source (21) and/or radiated from the surface (10) is conducted through the cushion body (3) and the guide body (2), wherein the cushion body (3) is made of a material which allows the cushion body (3) to adapt to the shape, structure and/or the profile of the surface (10) to be detected, and wherein the guide body (2) is composed of a material which is more rigid and harder than the cushion body (3), wherein the material of the guide body (2) and the material of the cushion body (3) have different refractive indices. According to the invention, the light emergence surface (4) of the guide body (2) has a concave or convex curvature.
