<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve ejector efficiency ηe, in an ejector for converting kinetic energy of fluid of a gas-liquid two-phase state into pressure energy. <P>SOLUTION: A flow speed of a suction refrigerant flowing in a mixing boosting part 16e is increased by gradually reducing the refrigerant passage area of a suction passage 16i toward the flowing direction of the suction refrigerant. A straight part 16g forming the refrigerant passage area constant is arranged on the inlet side of the mixing boosting part 16e for converting the kinetic energy of the refrigerant of a mixed gas-liquid two-phase state into the pressure energy while mixing an injection refrigerant injected from a nozzle part 16a with the suction refrigerant sucked from a refrigerant suction port 16d. An expanding part 16h for gradually expanding the refrigerant passage area is arranged on the refrigerant flow downstream side of the straight part 16g. Thus, a flow speed of a gaseous phase refrigerant flowing in the mixing boosting part 16e is increased, and the ejector efficiency is improved by quickly reaching terminal velocity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
