PURPOSE: A booting device for protecting a hacking of a portable device and a method thereof are provided to simplify a booting process by proceeding a core booting process for execution of a boot loader and the booting process of the portable device at a time. CONSTITUTION: A portable device proceeds a reliability confirmation process(303). The portable device acquires a generated boot loader(305). The portable device deciphers the boot loader(307). The portable device configures a setting value for hardware operation through the boot loader(309). In case reliability is not identified, the portable device initializes a booting process(311,319). In case the reliability is identified, the portable device proceeds the booting process(313).
