PURPOSE: An active agnetic bearing with a self sensing unit is provided to detect the gap between a driver and a floating body by detecting the inductance of a magnetic driver. CONSTITUTION: An active agnetic bearing with a self sensing unit comprises a pair of magnetic actuators(1a,1b), a displacement estimator(2), a pair of amplifiers(3a,3b), and a control module(4). The magnetic actuator enables a floating body(10) to float. The displacement estimator detects the inductance of the coil forming the magnetic actuator and senses the change of the gap between the floating body and the magnetic actuator from the current phase change of the magnetic actuator according to the inductance change. The amplifier amplifies the high frequency signal component and applies the amplified high frequency signal component to the coil of the magnetic actuator. According to the change of the gap between the magnetic actuator and the floating body detected by the displacement estimator, the control module controls the phase of the current supplied to the coil of the magnetic actuator. |
