<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction method of a peak frequency in a hammering test capable of extracting accurately a frequency at which sound pressure strength shows a peak in a frequency band which is an extraction object from frequency analysis data of hammering data, in order to improve determination accuracy between a nondefective product and a defective product by the hammering test. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method includes processes for: setting a temporary searching range S<SB>k</SB>partitioned by the minimum searching frequency F<SB>min</SB>and the maximum searching frequency F<SB>max</SB>relative to the frequency analysis data; extracting a first frequency F<SB>1</SB>at which the sound pressure strength becomes minimum in a first range S<SB>1</SB>having a fixed width L using the minimum searching frequency F<SB>min</SB>as a start end, extracting a second frequency F<SB>2</SB>at which the sound pressure strength becomes minimum in a second range S<SB>2</SB>having the fixed width L using the maximum searching frequency F<SB>max</SB>as a terminal end, in the temporary searching range S<SB>k</SB>, and setting a real searching range S<SB>r</SB>partitioned by the first frequency F<SB>1</SB>and the second frequency F<SB>2</SB>; and extracting the peak frequency F<SB>p</SB>at which the sound pressure strength becomes maximum, in the real searching range S<SB>r</SB>.
