摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an internal combustion engine more appropriately in a hybrid vehicle having the internal combustion engine and two electric motors, thereby avoiding excessive rotation of one of the electric motors due to the sudden deceleration of a driving wheel, without worsening emissions. <P>SOLUTION: In the hybrid vehicle having an engine and motors MG1 and MG2, if fuel is injected to at least one of a plurality of combustion chambers when fuel injection to each of the combustion chambers should be stopped as it is determined that excessive rotation of the motor MG1 might happen, the fuel injection to at least one of the plurality of combustion chambers is stopped (steps S330-S390) on condition that the amount of fuel necessary to ignite an air-fuel mixture is supplied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
