<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and smoothly feed highly flexible recording sheets such as a cardboard without a jam when the recording sheets are loaded on a manual feed tray in a stacked state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A recording sheet loaded on a manual feed tray 14b is formed in a curved state by a manual feed side first lower guide 14h and a manual feed side second lower guide 14k on a manual feed side conveying path 14s, and its fore end is guided by a flexible guide 12k so as to be directed to a conveying nip of a first conveying unit 13. When flexibility of the recording sheet is increased, the flexible guide 12k is bent along the conveying direction by the manual feed side conveying path, and a fore end of the recording sheet is abutted on an outer circumferential surface of a first conveying driving roller 13a, and introduced in the conveying nip by the rotation of the first conveying driving roller 13a.
