<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for tank farming by which tomato seedlings 22 are supported and fixed to many planting holes 12 formed on the upper lid 11 of a cultivation tank 15 at prescribed intervals. <P>SOLUTION: The method for tank farming comprises: sowing tomato seeds in solid culture soils 20 each molded into a shape almost the same as a planting hole 12; fixing the solid culture soil 20 into the planting holes 12 one by one while the seeds are yet to root so as to project at least lower parts of the solid culture soil 20 to a cultivation tank 15 each by a prescribed length; filling culture liquid 26 in the cultivation tank 15 through a pipe 14 fixed to the lower surface of the upper lid 11; operating a water level control means so as to retain the water level of the culture liquid 26 at the benchmark level when roots 28 exposed through the solid culture soil 20 and the water level of the culture liquid 26 reaches a benchmark level; stopping the water level control means after the tomatoes are grown to bear; and thereafter gathering the tomatoes after the culture liquid 26 in the cultivation tank 15 is siphoned up to the tomato seedlings 22 so as to be sufficiently reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
