<p>PURPOSE:To separate a foamed insulating material from a mixture of plastics, metal, etc., at high separation rate by moving the foamed insulating material upwards on an inclined surface by a tilting type pneumatic classifier having a specified inclined angle and a specified wind tunnel to separate it. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic classifier 1 has structure in which the wind from a blower 2 goes past a wind tunnel 3 to a screen 4 and a mixture of a foamed insulating material 8, plastics 9, metal 10, etc., in a hopper 7 is fed to the wind tunnel 3 through a rotary valve 5 and a chute 6. The inclined angle theta of the wind tunnel part is larger than a coefficient of friction of the wall surface between a bottom plate 11 of the wind tunnel 4 and the plastic 9, etc., and is the one at which the plastics 9, etc., slide without remaining on the inclined surface against the wind rising in the wind tunnel. The height of the wind tunnel 3 is <=2.5 times larger than the maximum particle diameter of the foamed insulating material or is <=150mm. In this way, the plastics 9, etc., slide on the inclined surface and are recovered in a recovery part 12, and the foamed insulating material 8 is recovered in a recovery part 13 on the lee side.</p> |
